Our Produce
Fresh Connect Central offers a wide range of fresh produce options for our food bank partners to select for their operation. At any given time, there are typically about 12- 18 different varieties of produce in our warehouse, ranging in price and pack sizes. If you are looking for a specific item that we do not have in stock, just reach out to our team and we can find it for you. We have sources for just about all items at all times of the year.
The majority of the produce that we source is considered #2 produce items. These items are still fresh and good to eat but may be slightly off-grade or misshapen.
When dealing with this type of produce, it is more likely that the product will have some degradation at the time we receive it. The threshold that we have adopted is that we expect 90% or more of the product to be usable for up to one week after receiving from us.
We stand by the quality of our produce and will give a full refund to any food bank partner that cannot use or is dissatisfied with the product they received from us.
Our Produce Brokers can source from any food bank’s service area and sell to the highest bidder. With honor, we abide by Feeding America’s member contract by giving every local food bank first right of refusal on products sourced within its service area. Our Protein
Protein is a critical component to a healthy diet, but can be expensive for the community and food banks. Fresh Connect Central works with a host of different protein manufacturers, processors, and brokers to find deals to acquire a variety of commonly desired items for food banks. We have the capabilities to store large quantities of product so that you can choose the ideal number of pallets that you need for your operation when ordering from us.
Protein Repack Room
Our Protein Repack room is helping to make protein more accessible to food banks across the country and the communities they serve food banks. Fresh Connect Central will accept donations of excess, bulk protein from different manufacturers and processors that would otherwise have to pay for long term storage or disposal of the product. We can accept fresh or frozen product that is either raw, partially cooked, or fully cooked and repackage it into smaller sizes for easy distribution for food banks.

Our Eggs
Fresh Connect Central is proud to be partnered with HATCH for Hunger for sourcing all of the fresh eggs that we distribute. There is less flexibility on lead time with getting eggs ordered, so we typically need a two-week notice that eggs are requested before the desired delivery date.
Our Dairy
Fresh Connect Central supplies a number of fresh and shelf-stable dairy products to food banks in need. We are a preferred distribution partner for Maple Ridge Foods and are proud to promote their Shredding Hunger and Blocking Hunger cheese rescue programs.
Our Dry Goods
As the most recent addition to Fresh Connect Central’s product offering, we are offering the 40-50 most commonly requested items for food bank partners. From macaroni & cheese to applesauce to canned tuna, we have the staples that will complement your food bank’s distribution needs perfectly. You can also shop from us on Feeding America’s Grocery Purchasing Portal.
Prepacked Boxes
Fresh Connect Central will build fresh to-go boxes full of the products we have stocked within our warehouse. Through a selection of menu options, individuals can choose which box best fits their needs and we'll build them exactly as asked. Orders can be placed for a generic box filled with basic items, or can be catered to specific preferences around health, culture, for elders and more. We can also provide backpack bags for school programs and weekend feeding for children in school.
Boxes are built on-site in our warehouse with paid labor. For specific requests outside of our allotted menu options, please contact us here. We will be happy to build a box to meet our neighbors needs!
