A spoonful of good: How Fresh Connect and Chobani are making an impact across the country

Chobani, widely known for its Greek yogurt products, has built its mission around making good food for all. Since its founding in 2005, the company has operated with a people-first mindset — prioritizing community impact and working to eradicate hunger in communities it calls home. 

As part of this commitment to ending food insecurity, Chobani sources food through Fresh Connect Central, helping to ensure that every dollar spent directly supports feeding those in need, while advancing a more sustainable, equitable food system. Together, we are fighting the good food fight. One of the first activations FCC and Chobani worked together on took place in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Fresh Connect provided fresh produce, non-perishable food items, boxes, and materials to assist with a Chobani employee volunteer event. Together, the team packed 250 mixed food boxes, which were then donated to a local charity. 

Just one week later, Chobani partnered with FCC to support another event in Twin Falls, Idaho — home to one of Chobani’s U.S.-based dairy manufacturing plants. For this initiative, FCC provided non-perishable items, boxes, and materials to help pack 400 mixed food boxes, which were distributed to a local charity in the Twin Falls community.

Shortly after that, FCC joined yet another impactful event in Rome, New York. This event was particularly significant as it coincided with the groundbreaking of Chobani’s third dairy processing plant, the largest natural food manufacturing investment in American history. Fresh Connect provided the necessary food products and packaging materials to support the packing of 500 mixed food boxes, which were also donated to a local organization.

Chobani’s efforts have been instrumental in connecting FCC with community-based initiatives that make a real difference. This ongoing joint effort reflects a shared commitment to addressing food insecurity and creating a more sustainable and equitable food system. 

Together, Chobani and FCC are not only making an immediate impact but also working toward long-term solutions that will help nourish communities for years to come.
