When the city of St. Louis was hit by an EF3 tornado, St. Louis Area Foodbank assessed the community’s broader needs to determine how best to provide lasting support in the days, weeks, and months ahead. That included sourcing shelf-stable, ready-to-eat disaster boxes from Fresh Connect Central.

When Crooked Creek Food Pantry opened in February 2015 the biggest concern was where they would get the food to help the large food insecure population in Indianapolis. Since then, the concern has shifted to fresh produce availability. Fresh Connect Central, located just 12 miles away, has been the perfect answer.
